This article focuses on three words and their interrelationship with one another for having a better career and life.
Let’s begin with the very first word i.e. Passion- it’s a strong feeling of enthusiasm or excitement for something or about doing something. Its putting your heart, mind, body and soul to something you value. We all have passion for something, it can be food or it can be sports etc. Passion or enthusiasm plays a great role in deciding whether we feel satisfied with the career we are currently in or not because if we don’t feel passionate about our work then we don’t really enjoy doing it and thus it makes difficult for us to continue the same career and we enter into a dilemma that what needs to be done now? At times we all have a feeling that why are we into a particular career? Is it worth the efforts? At such times what we need to find is the hidden strong emotional feelings that energize us to work harder and achieve what we are passionate about and interested in.
Let’s take the example of Steve Jobs. Carmine Gallo wrote an article called, “The Seven Success Principles of Steve Jobs,” in which the very first principle talks about “do what you love”. Steve Jobs once told a group of employees, “People with passion can change the world for the better.”
So, I would suggest that one should be aware of their passion and interest as well, in order to decide their career and to be successful in it. Once you follow your passion and interest, then it’s more likely to result in a better career, and lead satisfied and happy life. Because if we choose a career on the basis of our interest and passion we will put more efforts towards it and try to work harder.
