January-17 is the martyrdom day of Rohit Vemula who was institutionally forced to commit suicide for his so called dalit identity. This suicide was actually a manifestation of increasing authoritative fascism of government at center. This suicide also resonated as the shrinking space of right to dissent and right to rise. On this resistance day revolutionary students of SIO intended to make this struggle against social injustice more fast and more sharp.
