Thousands of Jamia university students are protesting against the controversial Citizenship Amendment Bill. Students are conducting marches and gatherings in all peaceful and democratic ways. Nonetheless, the police resorted to shelling tear gas to disperse the throngs of students. Several students were lathicharged by the police. Some of them retained severe injuries.
