Recently a college in the Malabar area of Kerala witnessed a peculiar protest. A bunch of students aroused against the management regarding the construction of a Convent Center. The students were disturbed to see their “OPEN AIR” being torn.

Living in this era we often forget our responsibilities towards our mother nature. In a world were acquisition of oil is through war, it is a small thing for people to build up luxuries by destroying nature. We have forgotten that our earth is dying. The “THANAL SAMARAM” that took place in FAROOK COLLEGE was a struggle for the protection of our nature. The actions the management took were unfortunately shocking. They suspended 9 students for their irresponsible actions. How can protecting the environment ever be an irresponsible action?

The nature has to be the way it is. Trying to modify it in the new metro world is impossible. The world we live in have some laws. It is the law of survival.  We often forget how dependent we are on this planet.

Survival does not only require a roof covered inter-locked building, trees and the green environment is a necessary factor for our survival!
