On 20 April, a delegation of SIO led by its national leadership visited the family of Pehlu Khan and gifted a milch cow to the aggrieved family for restarting their livelihood. In the name of the same animal, which has become an agent of unbridled terrorism on many Muslims and Dalits alike in the current BJP-RSS ruled regime, Pehlu Khan, a 50 year-old dairy farmer, was mercilessly lynched by the gang of self-stylized gau-rakshaks on April 1. He along with two of his sons and another Muslim dairy farmer, was returning from Jaipur after having purchased some cows at a government-run cattle fair in Rajasthan. To help the family regain its livelihood sources, the SIO benevolently gifted them a milch cow and a calf. At a time of cow terrorism, such a gesture of gifting by SIO of India is an act of bravery and benevolence too. The delegation included SIO National Secretaries Mr. Abdul WodudThouseef MadikeriMohammad Rehan,  along with SIO Haryana Zonal Organiser Aquib and others.

Last time, the SIO delegation visited the family in Mewat Haryana on 11 April, and expressed condolences to the family and offered to extend all possible medical and legal support.  SIO of India is giving the family continuous support.

Azmat was one of the three who were with Pehlu khan in that unfortunate attack. On 13 April, he visited national headquarters in Delhi with his father Sulaiman, a madrasa teacher at Mathura, and his brother Amjad, who had lost his right leg following an accident three years ago. Azmat while speaking to Br. Nahas Mala, President, SIO of India, said that his friend Arjun was sent free by Gau-rakshaks as he told them he is a Hindu. Even though they had owned proper Jaipur Nagar Nigam papers for carrying cows, crowd began to lynch them as some of them were trying to get the diesel from vehicle to burn them alive.

He has lost his sight partially as they grabbed 35000 from his pocket. Truck is now with police and the cows were seized by Gau-rakshaks. Amjad, his brother, said that policemen had asked him 1 lakh to meet his brother and others and they snatched 5000 rupees which he had with him. Shockingly, a case has been filed against them under the accusation of cow theft.
