A Muslimah’s Taraweeh

As I make my way to the mosque every night,
I encounter so many people making their way,
To the mosque for practicing their share,
Arriving from different stations and stature
All of them paving the road happily
Aware of the fact that what they’ll ask will surely be granted to them by
The One and Only
Some running, some walking slowly
Some with kids, some striding alone
Leaving behind all that they own,
Glaring at this scene,
I wonder; no matter where we come from!
What we are or what we’ve been,
Inside God’s home, we all stand equal
We all pray next to each other
Irrespective of what positions we hold in society
It makes me feel really enlightened
And my faith in God increases as I ponder this,
I hope, the place always remains this inviting,
And our belief in the Almighty strengthening.
